The Group started its operations on July 17, 1989. Initially as a small 1300 sq. ft. store in Chandigarh with a staff of 8 and has grown to be a conglomerate spread across North India accommodating more than 2000 employees. With its roots set in Sector 17, since ’89, the brand has grown to become a household name in the North.
Currently standing at 10 stores and counting in Punjab, the journey of conquering the state began in Jalandhar, with operations commencing on August 1, 2003. As the store gained popularity, the need for a dedicated kids' store emerged. Now the group stands two stores strong in the Model Town.
Kapsons first brought multiple international brands, all under one roof in 1989, and has been winning the hearts of shopaholics. Big names in Fashion like Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Vero Moda, Forever New, Levi’s, Superdry, Jack & Jones, and Madame, are only some of the 100+ Global Brands associated with Kapsons group.
Belief in the untapped potential of India’s retail industry and growth through the e-commerce channel moved Mr. Darpan to establish what is now known as the largest aggregator in India, Kapsons Retail. KRPL holds ties with renowned names like Amazon, Myntra, Flipkart, AJIO, Tata Cliq, Nykaa Fashion, Snapdeal, Paytm, Firstcry, Jiomart, and many more.
The #DoorToGlobalFashion set its footing in Jammu with Gandhinagar. Kapsons made its space in Apsara Multiplex becoming a fan-favorite in the region, ultimately leading to a second store in the city three years later in Wave Mall. Since their inception, both outlets have been enjoying an influx of audience, encompassing not only Jammu but Srinagar as well.
We all know that it’s an influencers’ world and we are just living in it. Understanding full well, Kapsons takes pride in hosting one of the biggest Influencer Programs of North India, #KapsonsSquad, including over 300 influencers, both micro and macro, promoting Kapsons any and everywhere they can.
Kapsons progressed its journey to Haryana, opening its anchor store in Rohtak in November 2011. Growing with demand, the store hosts global brands for men, women, and kids alike, ranging from formals including Arrow, Blackberrys, Madame, and more to casuals Vero Moda, Calvin Klein, Levi’s, and more. With plans to expand further, Kapsons currently holds 6 stores in Haryana.

Heightened popularity and the aim to rule over the entire North brought to reality the first-ever store of Uttrakhand. Kapsons Dehradun, counting as one of the recent additions kicked off operations on September 10, 2021, with a little everything for men, women, and kids alike.

In supporting the education, physical well-being, and safety of the girl child, Kapsons Group found its mission, laying down the foundation of Kanya Welfare Organization, Kapsons’ Social Responsibility Initiative, in 2004. Currently, Kanya walks strong with a clan of over 100 kids under its wing.
